  • Bottom Board – Screened, Assembled

A screened bottom board is a great piece of beekeeping equipment which all beekeepers should be using. The screened bottom increases brood production, reduces Varrora mite counts, allows you to better monitor Varroa infestation levels, and enables bees to excel over winter.  Close it up with a mite tray (sold separately) when re-queening or starting a nuc or package. Leave it open the rest of the year.
This screened bottom board is the bottom floor of the hive and improves ventilation. Constructed of wood and wire screen, this bottom board is MADE IN THE USA by us in our workshop in Kernersville, North Carolina.
Fully assembled of unfinished wood and wire screen, this bottom board is available in configurations to fit 10, 8 or 5 frames. (Frames sold separately).
